Welcome new vet Victoria!
Please join us in welcoming vet Victoria O’Hara to the Agnew team! Victoria graduated with honours from the Royal Veterinary College in June 2020. She has been a student with Agnew Equine on a number of occasions over the years and impressed the team so much that she was deemed ‘Agnew’s Favourite Ever Student’ and we’re so delighted to have her officially join our ranks. As a new graduate she’ll be working along side our senior vets as well as independently for more routine work. Her research into racehorse genetics won her the Colman Medal, and it has been nominated by the RVC for the national BETA Equine Thesis of the Year award, for which she is still awaiting results.
Victoria has lived at Mow Cop since she was 4, so knows the area very well, although the beauty of the peaks never fails to amaze her. She spends most of her down time with her horse, Katy. Although Katy is pretty ancient now, she can still be seen hacking around the Moor, galloping around fun rides, and attending the odd clinic. Outside of her interest in horses, she loves to sing, and is currently looking for a classical choir to join once restrictions are relaxed again. She also enjoys taking the dog for walks and visiting National Trust properties. Give a welcome to Victoria, we know you’ll be as impressed with her as we all are!
