Reminder! If you purchased our Strategic Worm Pack, please remember to collect your SECOND POO SAMPLE and send it off by the end of JULY!
By taking periodic samples of your horse’s poo, we can identify horses with high worm burdens that require strategic dosing. After testing we notify you of the results – either that your horse is ok or to let you know if their worm burden is high enough to be of risk and what the treatment plan is.
At Agnew, we believe that proactive worm monitoring and management is an important part of responsible horse ownership. But we also think blanket worming without taking samples first contributes to wormer resistance which harms us all in the end. Worms have the potential to cause considerable health problems for your horse, so it is best to stay informed and a step ahead - and to take samples to find out whether your horse needs treatment!
